Methodology and Implementation
HAPA with the financial support of UNICEF provides full hard work to distribute emergency assistance(NFIs) during conflict and natural disasters, in addition, to its development support to the children and women of southern region of Afghanistan, HAPA organization is working closely with the government and community when required or possible. In the last decade, the southern region of Afghanistan has faced critical emergency due to conflict situation and natural disaster such as floods, drought, harsh winters sow fall, Hail etc. HAPA with UNICEF has been involved in such emergencies by supporting children and has been an active partner of the government in related emergency.

HAPA with UNICEF zone office has its own emergency preparedness plan for each year which describes the minimum target population under the response plan for any emergency.

So HAPA done every years with UNICEF Small-Scale Funding Support Agreement with respect to the project entitled Preposition & Distribution of Non Food Items

(NFIs) and Emergency Education to Families, communities and children in Helmand ,Kandahar Zabul and Nemroz Province as described below

As is the current practice, the zone offices through UNICEF partner agencies such as, governments, NGOs and other UN agencies continue to respond to emergency as they occur to save lives of the children and women during any natural disaster and conflicts.

The UNICEF /HAPA Field Coordination and Emergency section is responsible for overall coordination of the emergency preparedness planning, response AND has its own emergency preparedness plan for each year which describes the minimum target population under the response plan for HAPA.

Output
The lifesaving support has been provided to around 400000 families (2800000 individuals) through HAPA five offices in southern region of Afghanistan by Distribution of emergency assistance, including NFIs (e.g family kits, blankets, jerry cans, plastic tarpaulin, and warm jackets/sweaters) as well as Education emergency supplies to affected schools, including school tents, plastic floor mats, school-in-a-box or recreation kits, school supplies in Kandahar ,Zabul Nimroz and Helmand.

Wash (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Digging of tube wells

Objective:
To protect the health families particularly focusing children and women through increased and improved access to quantity and quality water supply in Nawzad District of o Helmand province.

Construction of Latrines, Water Tanks and Providing Hygiene and sanitation awareness especially for children and women

Objective:
To protect the health families especially children and women through expanded access to improved hygiene and sanitation practices in Kandahar and Helmand province.

Methodology and Implementation

Output
Around 500000 people improved the facilities of sanitation, use unsafe drinking water sources. Their schools lack private and decent sanitation facilities improved. Women and children are saved from spending large parts of their day fetching water, Children – and particularly girls – got to achieve their right of getting education. Poor farmers and wage earners productive they saved from illness, theirs health systems protected from overwhelmed and national economies saved from suffering and they got source for sustainable development and improved water supplies and sanitation facilities in schools and communities,

Child protection

Objectives
To protect children from violence, exploitation and abuse Methodology and Implementation The project has been approved by UNICEF in order to identified the most vulnerable street working children and their families in Kandahar city and Spin Boldak with the support of DoLSAMD, CPAN members, WFP, UNHCR and UNICEF. Consortium of key stakeholders established supporting the street working children or agencies providing services for children and families to take forward the project.

In This project HAPA was working with Afghanistan Center for Training and Development (ACTD)jointly , During the project the problems of the mentioned street workers children and their families Analyzed, The reasons for engagement of the mentioned vulnerable street working children on violence and exploitation works founded and categorized, for the explanation, and description the right of children HAPA and ACTD toke different meeting with Children and their families members ,mentioned children and their Head of family encouraged to introduce theirs street worker children to the near schools or literacy center which is present in the area , Different meeting hold with Director of Education deportment of Kandahar province to provide opportunity for the mentioned street worker children in that schools which are located near to the houses of the mentioned children so the children under 6-9 the Introduce to the schools and literacy training center and from 10-18year old and for theirs head of house we provided to them vocational training like tailoring , carpentry and motorbike repair , for some of their head of houses we provided small business .

Output
All the mentioned children have got opportunity to protect from violence, exploitation and abuse. So they saved across all ages, religions and cultures from suffering violence, exploitation, abuse and From other risk, they got skill and got job opportunities ,the poverty ret of mentioned children reduced So from this mode of the project girls and boys especially vulnerable Children with disabilities, orphaned, indigenous, from ethnic minorities and other marginalized groups got information and skilled to do claim for getting theirs right
